SCREENING BRAZIL is a one week program with the best of Brazilian cinema, showcasing both contemporary and avant-garde classic films. The program pays special attention to the deep political crisis taking place in one of the world’s largest countries. The films will be followed by a cycle of dabates to help build international understanding of the country and the forces currently attacking Brazilian democracy at this very moment.

The festival will take place at Cavia and at Teatro Munganga.

Reserveren is niet mogelijk. Kaartjes kunnen vanaf een half uur voor aanvang aan de bar gekocht worden.

Entrance 5 euros per block.
We also accept the Cineville card.

It's not possible to make reservations. Tickets can be bought at the bar, half an hour before the film starts.



The program is organized by the Amsterdam Collective For Democracy in Brazil, in solidarity with the campaign #FreeLula for the release of President Lula da Silva.

All the revenues from ticket-sales will be donated to the permanent vigil in Curitiba, Brazil, where the former president is jailed.
