Cheap Cuts presents:

NL Cheap Cuts Documentary Film Festival uit Londen keert terug naar Cavia met de beste korte documentaires van het festival in 2017. De hoogtepunten van vorig jaar, waaronder een prachtige animatie, onconventionele verhalenvertelling op 16mm en het leven in een berucht daklozenhostel in het noordoosten van Engeland. The Nest

A tragicomic and intimate portrait of an ageing couple from a Slovak countryside. For years, Mária and Ján have been living in debt and repairing their house in hopes that their children will come back to live with them one day. (Best International Documentary)

The Shepherd

Health insurers are putting pressure on the enthusiastic GP Nico van Hasselt (91) to adapt his old-fashioned method to modern society, but he refuses to abandon his vulnerable patients. (Runner up International)

NL Cheap Cuts Documentary Film Festival is een van de weinige festivals dat uitsluitend gewijd is aan korte documentaires, en vertoont het beste van het Britse en internationale talent op het gebied van korte documentaire. Cheap Cuts is van mening dat film voor iedereen toegankelijk moet zijn, aan beide kanten van de camera. Het Best of Cheap Cuts-programma is geselecteerd door een vertrouwd panel van internationaal erkende documentaire filmmakers.

EN Cheap Cuts Documentary Film Festival is one of the few festivals dedicated exclusively to short documentary, showcasing the best of British and international short documentary talent. Cheap Cuts believes that film should be accessible to all, both sides of the camera. The Best of Cheap Cuts programme has been selected by a trusted panel of internationally recognised documentary filmmakers.
